From Laaber, Germany, this is the first time we have seen this wheat Doppelbock, or Weizenbock in store. It's won two World Beer Cup Gold Medals for the style, a style we definitely don't see enough of around the shop. Big notes of Banana bread, nuttiness, bisquity, roasted grains , dark fruity esters {raisins, plums, figs}.
