Who We Are

Just a couple of beer geeks with a thirst for knowledge of all things craft! We specialize in craft beer, wine, mead, cider, and more! Come browse one of the biggest selections of Maine craft beer in the state. We’re located in Portland and Gorham, stop on by for your next beverage!

Justin Ostrowski - Originally from the Western New York area, I moved to Maine in the Fall of 2013, and quickly fell in love the vibrant beer scene developing in this great state. My first experience with top notch Maine beer was at Allagash, where an eye opening brewery tour helped completely change my view on what beer can be. I am forever on the hunt to learn everything I possibly can about craft beer and wine, and drink as many world-class beverages along the way. Feel free to snag me while in store for a quick chat, or reach me at Justin@biercellar.com Cheers!

Don Favreau -  I returned to Maine after living in the Washington, DC area for thirteen years. While I’ve always been a beer enthusiast, my interests peaked following a trip out west where my wife and I experienced the craft beer scene in Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; and Vancouver, BC. Once back in the original Portland, I quickly became one of the top twenty customers of The Bier Cellar and figured I better get a part-time job to support my habit. Now that I am an owner, I am still enthusiastically learning all I can about craft beer and wine and look forward to the future tastings that Justin and I will have with all of our customers.
