The Referend Bier Blendery Krak! (Cognac Casks)
Our first bottles from The Referend Bier Blendery, a incredibly well regarded blendery from New Jersey who makes spontaneously fermented beer using a coolship. This beer was made in the turbid mash style typical of Belgian Lambic thenspontaneously fermented and matured in a 500L french oak cognac puncheon for six months, before the addition of fresh whole hudson valley montmorency and morello cherries to the same puncheon, with subsequent spontaneous fruit refermentation. The Referend lists this bottles aging potential as 5-25 years as the fruit will fade eventually, it was bottled in May of 2019. This edition is putting up a 4.4/5 on Untappd right now.
