Rocky Ground Cidery Dahlia
Dahlia is a cider made from 72 different varieties all grown in Maine. 64% of the apples used in this blend were wild foraged, the rest came from Sandy River apples in Mercer, an orchard that boasts 75 apples varieties, 42 of which are rare heirlooms. This cider is then pressed in to oak barrels and wild yeast is allowed to ferment the apples. A touch of honey from the orchard prolongs fermentation which makes for a slightly sparkling cider. A beautiful, full, dry and slightly funky truly Maine cider. Complex and beautiful.
