Norway Brewing Bourbon Barrel Triple Stack
Triple Stack is brewed with 100% Maine-grown grains. The mash consists of Blue Ox Malthouse pale and wheat malt and flaked wheat from Maine Grains, with a five gallon kettle addition maple syrup from McAllister Farm. We then ferment the beer with our farmhouse culture an add another five gallons of maple syrup from PieTree Orchard for secondary fermentation. After adding in a single bourbon barrel for nine months, this beer was blended out with the following year's batch and dosed with maple syrup a third time at bottling, then conditioned for three more months. The result is a golden triple-fermented beer with intense maple notes intertwining with deep caramel and whiskey aromas, followed by a rich maple flavor and relatively dry finish.
