Leflaive Puligny Montrachet
Another screaming deal on a white Burgundy, this time from the appelation of Puligny-Montrachet. The lots are hand harvested and sorted at the winery and then undergoes primary and secondary fermentation in barrel and is aged for a total of 12 months in on its lees in 20% new oak. Following a gentle fining the wine is bottled and rests in the cellar for a short period prior to release. This bottle put up a 90 in Wine Advocate, and Decanter wrote it up as: "Lush, creamy and full-bodied with linear acidity. More opulent than the Chevalier-Montrachet, but less mineral and explosive. Very long, nutty finish. A very fine premier cru."
