Austin Hope Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Fresh off of putting up 97 Points in Wine Enthusiast we were able to snag a case of Austin Hope Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon from their 2015 vintage. First, here is the Wine Enthusiast review: "Vintner Austin Hope, whose family is intertwined in the rise of Paso Robles, spent years working to release a wine of this caliber. Dark and thick in the glass, aromas of black currant and blueberry meet with roasted coffee, chocolate syrup and baked plum on the wondrous nose. The palate is soft and extremely expressive, with blueberry, black pepper, firm midpalate tannins and a finish that’s redolent of cappuccino candies." I have to say, big, brawny California wine is not usually my thing, but this wine has enough complexity and tannin to satisfy even those who don't love the fruit, alcohol and brawn of Paso Robles.
