Domaine La Bastide Bandol Blanc 2016
Every once in a while we get to take advantage of closeouts from our distributors due to a myriad of reasons. The wine is great, but due to COVID-19, they want to get some wine out of the warehouse.
A unique gift from the Mourvèdre capitol of France, this small production Bandol Blanc consists of Clairette and Ugni Blanc. Entirely hand-harvested at low yields of just 34hL/ha. The nose combines notes of coriander, dill and white peaches. In the mouth, Ugni, bourboulenc and cabernet give vivacity, minerality and develop notes of citrus, quince and white flowers. Clairette gives structure, richness and fennel aromas of white peaches and hops.
